Zambales experiences knee-high floods, and chest-deep in Baseco, Manila. 
9,100 families are in almost 200 evacuation centers in LUzon.
125, 024 families (601, 144 individuals) are affected. 7 died, 
while 11 are injured and 4 are missing.

Even with these outcomes due to flood, some residents still did not evacuate, especially the people in Marikina:

Tropical Storm Maring's strength remained and is stationary at 575 km Eat of Itbayat, Batanes with estimated rainfall amount og 10-25mm per hour (heavy to intense). 
19,981 families or 94, 226 affected in Ilocos, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, CAR and Metro Manila. In Rosario, Cavite, 10,000 -50,000 families have already evacuated, while in regions I, II and CAR, 559 families were recorded to have moved away from their houses.

August 17: Day 1

Keep in track of the movement of the Low Pressure Area, as it progressed to typhoon Maring, in the Philippines.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, at 5 am: the Low Pressure Area in the Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes developed into a Tropical Depression. MARING was the chosen name. Storm Signal #1 was raised in Batanes Group of Islands. The storm accelerated to East Southeast direction. Storm warning signal over Batanes was lifted.
